Welcome to The Wes, where sophistication meets playful quirk in the culinary heart of Cape Town. 

 

 Decor inspired by the whimsical world of Wes Anderson, every detail of our space has been crafted to ignite curiosity and to make people feel good and have fun.  Under the direction of Head Chef Samantha Temmers, our upmarket French bistro reimagines timeless French classics with a contemporary twist.   

The Food

Our new menu at The Wes Bistro & Bar, led by Executive Chef Samantha Temmers, celebrates bold, seasonal flavours rooted in classic French techniques.  Signature dishes include Chicken Liver Parfait, Steak Tartare served tableside, Pan-Seared Duck Breast, Entrecôte served with Café de Paris Butter and Moules Marinière, each crafted with the finest local ingredients and a touch of Cape Town charm.
To finish, try our desserts from our famous Chocolate Profiteroles and silky Crème Brûlée to a beautifully light Paris-Brest.  Playful yet down-to-earth, it’s perfect for anything from a casual lunch to cocktails or a date night dinner.

The Drinks

Our wine list is a showcase of the history and heritage of the Western Cape. We take pride in offering a variety of cultivars and blends that showcase the unique terroirs of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Hemel en Aarde, Swartland, Constantia, and beyond, ensuring every glass reflects the distinct character of South Africa’s world-class wine regions.
